100-Year-Old 'Rosie the Riveter' Shows Off B-29 She Helped Restore

Connie Palacioz is a 100-year-old volunteer at the B-29 Doc Hangar Museum in Wichita, Kansas. The centenarian is one of the original, and few remaining, Rosie the Riveters. During the war, she was one of the many women who stepped up and into jobs traditionally held by men. In Connie's case, she was literally a riveter, helping put together B-29 bombers and other vital pieces of defense and infrastructure for the war effort. She spoke to KWCH about her remarkable life.
